[Class 120 (iii).] Positively-driven bobbins are provided with rubber or raw hide insertions A in which the driving - slots a are formed. The insertion may be secured against rotation by being of non-circular shape, or by means of a metal ring C having two flanges c, c<1>, or may be permanently or detachably fixed by adhesive or screws, or may be pressed into an undercut recess. The rubber or raw hide may be reinforced by metal or other powder or by brass or copper wire. As shown in Fig. 5, the pad A is pressed in and is prevented from rotating by being non-circular, and the slots a extend only partly through the pad.
