Abstract

287,744. Douglas Motors, Ltd., and Pullin, C. G. May 17, 1927. Connecting fixed lubricators with moving apparatus.-Lubricant is supplied into a distributing passage 3 in a rotating member 2 such as a crank-shaft, by a stationary conduit 7 having a spigot 12 engaging a conical recess in the end of the member 2, the conduit including an apertured frame portion 8 adapted to surround an intersecting shaft 30 or the like which prevents the use of a straight conduit. An annular recess 10 formed in the side of the aperture 9 in the frame is closed by a sleeve 11 and communicates with the conduit. Alternatively, an annular recess closed by an annular plate may be formed in the face of the frame 8. The conduit is pressed towards the member 2 by a spring 14, the end of the conduit being adapted to slide in a union 4.
