Abstract
467,714. Spare - wheel covers. SOC. ANON. DES. USINES CHAUSSON. Sept. 17, 1936, No. 25345. Convention date, Oct. 15, 1935. [Class 136 (i)] [Also in Groups XXXII, XVIII, and XXXVIII] A motor-vehicle sparewheel is enclosed by a cover 1 hinged to the vehicle body and provided with a plurality of recesses 9, 14 constituting re - flectors for lamps 11, 13 adapted to illuminate the number-plate 10 and a red glass 12 or other signalling device supported by the cover The plate 10 is held in place by two U-section, halfframes 15 slidable on guides 16 welded to the cover, the joints between the half-frames being concealed by two decorative members 17, 18. The lamp 13 has two filaments in order to provide stop signals in daylight and a fixed red light at night. The glass 12 is secured in position by the member 18. A link 5 limits the opening movement of the cover.
