Abstract

243,400. Roberts, W. June 21, 1924. Vehicle lamps.-A vehicle lamp which serves both as a side light and for signalling purposes comprises a double-chambered lamp A of which the inner chamber is fitted at the front and rear with glasses C, E of one colour, e.g. green, while the outer chamber is fitted at the front, side, and rear with glasses B, M, D of another colour, e.g. red, the illumination of the bulbs F, G being controlled by a main switch on the dashboard and by co-operating two-way switches on the steering column or other easily accessible part, and one bulb on each side being always illuminated so that the lamps act continuously as side lights.
