309,672. Warn, W. G. Feb. 17, 1928. Road traffic signals on vehicles. - A directionsignalling device adapted to be fitted to existing headlights comprises a reflector, a lamp, and a coloured ring surrounding the face of the headlight. To the body 5 of a headlight having a reflector 8 and a lamp 7 is secured by a bayonet joint an extension 6 carrying a coloured ring 11 of glass or mica, a lens 13, a lamp 17 and a reflector 15. The lamp 17 now becomes the main illuminating lamp, the lamp 7 being used to illuminate the coloured ring 11 when required. The rings 11 may be red for the left-hand lamp and! green for the right-hand lamp. The tail-light 23, Fig. 4, may have concentric red and green rings 21, 22 adapted to be switched on simultaneously with the front red or green rings. The switches may be operated by hand or by the steering mechanism.
