Abstract

268,359. Avril, G. March 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Road-traffic signals on vehicles.--Relates to a combined mirror and signalling device. Behind a convex glass 3 is arranged a glass disc 20 having parts 20', 20<2> coloured red, the latter part having the word " stop " engraved upon it. Lamps 8, 9 are arranged in compartments in front of the disc 20, the circuit of the lamp 9 being controlled by a switch actuated by the brake pedal. A lens 21 provides a white light to the front, and the part 20<1> gives a, red light to the rear. The disc 20 and the glass 3 may be ground by sand blasting, and a ball joint 22 may be provided for fitting the device to a vehicle.
