466,359. Stove-baffles. DARBY, H. G. Nov. 27, 1935, No. 32841. [Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A vertical flue extending through a water heater has, along the major portion of the length of the flue, ,inwardly projecting vanes 9 with upper end portions wider than the lower ends, which extend to the lower part of the flue adjacent the burner ; and horizontal baffles 14, 15 are placed centrally of the flue at the top and intermediate of the vanes to guide flue gas out to the wall. The baffles are connected by a strip 12. Each vane may be of angle section with a part on the flue wall, or may be secured to an inner or outer sleeve inserted in the flue. The vanes may be formed by slitting a sleeve and bending the parts in or out. Specification 454,941 is referred to.
