[Class 25] The opposite walls of a chimney flue progressively overlap and recede from the vertical or upward axis of the flue so that the flue is blinded by the innermost limits or noses 14 of the walls, the noses in one wall overlapping the axis at levels 15 where the other wall is at a maximum distance from the axis. The chimney is built up from blocks 10, 11, 12 each having a flue passage 13 with sides of approximately semi-circular contour in vertical section. If the blocks are to be built up against a vertical wall, one side of the blocks may be open.
