Abstract

465,739. Cartons &c. for radio sets. CARR, J. H., and ROBERTS, G. N. Nov. 13, 1935, Nos. 31361 and 34254. [Class 18] A carton or like package for a completely assembled radio-receiving instrument is of the known construction which includes a foursided container closed by top and bottom flaps a, b sealed against unauthorized opening by adhesive binding strips c similar binding strips d being also applied round the corners of the carton. Testing apertures e<1> . . e<6> normally closed but capable of being readily opened when required are provided, which may be rectangular and may be constituted by a flap f which turns about a hinge. A tab g may be utilized for manipulating. The apertures may be covered by a thin covering bearing markings indicating the positions of the apertures. In the example shown e<1> gives access to the loud-speaker control e<2>, e<3> the tuning and volume controls, e<4>, and e<5> the aerial and earth terminals, and e<6> the mains and pick-up lead.
