[Class 37] In the measurement of accumulator conditions according to the parent Specification, a resistance in series or in parallel, or in both of these connections with the measuring instrument coil, is varied to compensate for variations in the apparent internal resistance of the accumulator, the current through the measuring instrument remaining constant under these conditions for accumulators having different capacities under the same charge. In Fig. 1, the series and parallel resistances r, v connected with the coil m of the instrument may have their values adjusted simultaneously. The resistance v may be of constant value and form a potentiometer tapping on the resistance r, or, as in Fig. 3, the resistance v is tapped on a further resistance p in shunt with the diverting resistor w.
