465,616. Discharge lamps. CLAUDEGENERAL NEON LIGHTS, Ltd., and HIGGINS, C. Nov. 20, 1935, No. 32162. [Class 39 (i)] [Also in Group XXXVI] Discharge lamps such as signs are mounted on sup ports each comprising a glass or other insulating member 1 with offset parts 2, 3 in different planes sc that the central part of the member 1 shields from each other conductors ontheparts 2, 3 and breakdowns due to steep potential gradients are avoided. The part 2 carries a clip 8 for the lamp 7 and. the part 3 is carried on an insulating sleeve 6 from a base 5. In a modification, the part 3 is screwed directly to the base 5 and the clip 8 is carried on an insulating shaft on the part 2.
