[Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XXXV] A voltage regulating relay primarily for dis tribution circuits com prises an enclose( type tilting switch pivoted at the point k restoring means such as a pendulum (not shown for returning the switcl to its central or neutra position and a plunger h connected by linkworl to the switch and form ing the movable part o the core of an electro magnet p whereby a variable gap c in the magnetic circuit is provided. The electromagnet gives a constant pull on the plunger in any position for a given constant voltage. Reference is made to Specification 223,236, [Class 38 (v)], in this connection.
