[Class 137] [Also in Group XI] In an electric unit heater, the resistance wires, which extend radially between hooks g on an outer insulating-ring h and hooks i, j on inner insulating-rings k, m, are kept in tension by a spring q tending to separate the rings. The hooks and wires are all disposed in the path of the air delivered by the fan a which is driven by an electric motor b. In a modification, the wires are tensioned by axial rotation of the inner ring from which they extend to a double row of hooks on the outer ring.
