Abstract
463,230. Wireless receiving circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. July 1, 1936, No. 18267. Convention date, July 31, 1935. Addition to 462,579. [Class 40 (v)] [Also in Group XXXVI] In a rectifying contact of the kind described in the parent Specification, the flatpointed metal rod electrode 4 is embedded in an insulator 5, preferably of polysterine, so that its end 6 rests evenly in contact with the thin insulating layer 3, which is laid over the surface of the second electrode 1 of selenium. The latter is mounted on a metal foundation 2. The two insulators 5 and 3 may be secured together by an adhesive ; or the whole assembly may be surrounded by an insulating compound, to protect it from the atmosphere and to reduce the effect of mechanical vibration.
