Abstract
462,315. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. (Eastman Kodak Co.) Sept. 6, 1935, No. 24864. [Class 97 (i)] In claw feed mechanism, the film-engaging surface of the claw is curved to an arc having its centre, during the feed stroke, in or adjacent to the plane containing the part of the film engaged by the claw ; the centre of the arc may coincide with the axis of the crank pin operating the claw, and the arc made by the movement of the crank pin during the feed stroke may intersect the plane. As shown in Fig. 1, the edge 15 of the claw is curved about the axis of the crank pin 4..The claw has a protuberance 16 and an inclined edge 18. A weak spring 5 may urge the claw into the perforation, or the inherent friction between the claw and the crank pin may be relied upon, the spring being omitted. The spring-pressed gate member 9 may be formed with a recess 17 limiting the inward movement of the claw.
