630,382. Film-viewing apparatus. ASPINWALL, J. W. F., and KNOWLES, R. A. April 11, 1948, No. 9747/47. [Class 97 (i)] Apparatus for viewing film strips comprises an aperture or gate 3 through which the film is moved by a sprocket 8 and viewed by a lens 2, illumination being provided by a lamp 4 controlled by a switch arm 10 which engages a cam 12 fixed to the sprocket shaft 7 so that the lamp is switched on when a picture frame registers with the gate. The switch arm 10 engages a fixed contact 11, and the cam has four surfaces. so that one revolution of the sprocket advances the film by four frames.
