Abstract
469,894. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. (Eastman Kodak Co.) Feb. 3, 1936, No. 3254. [Class 97 (i)] In intermittent - feed mechanism comprising a claw, reciprocated by a crank or eccentric, and sliding over and in contact with the film between feed strokes, the surface of the claw effecting the feed is straight, and, at the end of the feed stroke, is approximately normal to the film; a projection or protuberance , extends, at or near the point of the claw, below the straight surface. As shown, the claw 1 is reciprocated by the pin 4 of a crank disc 2 the centre of which lies in or near the plane of the film F, and is urged towards the film by a spring 5. The edge 15 is straight, and the arrangement of parts causes this edge to be approximately normal to the film both at the beginning and end of the feed stroke. The claw has a protuberance 16 and an inclined surface 18 to guide the claw out of the perforation during its return stroke. The disc 2 may be rotated counterclockwise, or clockwise, and the spring 5 may, in the latter case, be dispersed with, the friction between the claw and the pin 4 being relied upon to move the claw into the film perforations.
