Abstract

495,286. Kinematograph apparatus. KODAK, Ltd. (Kodak Akt.-Ges.) March 17, 1938, No. 8224. [Class 97 (i)] A claw arm extending from an intermittent mechanism located at one side of an exposure aperture is pressed towards the film by a resilient member mounted on the other side of the aperture and extending around the aperture to engage the claw arm. As shown in Fig. 2, a claw 60 on an arm 55 reciprocated on a vertical rod 56 by a cam 58 in an opening 59 is engaged by a rectangular plate spring 62 secured by screws 63 to an aperture plate 16. The spring 62 has an opening 64 surrounding the aperture 44 in the plate 16 and the exposure aperture 45 in a film magazine. Fig. 4 shows a modification in which the spring 62 is replaced by a spring wire 69 secured by screws 70 and having an arm 71 engaging the arm 55. The claw may have an inclined face, may slide over the film during its return strokes, and may enter the exposure aperture, as in Fig. 2, or a separate slot 67, as in Fig. 4. The resilient member may be carried by a plate vertically adjustable on the plate 16.
