[Class 97 (i)] In gates for films having two image ranks, the film is guided at both sides outside the perforations, and is maintained flat by means bearing on the surface of the film between the image ranks. As shown in Fig. 3, exposure apertures separated by a rib B are formed in one wall of a film magazine, and are backed by a pressure member D having a rib D<2>, to press the film against the rib B, and recessed D4 which guide the film edges and leave the film margins free. In a modification, the recesses are formed in the magazine wall. Fig. 5 shows a further modification in which the pressure member has chamfered edges E<1> co-operating with spacer members E<2> to form the recesses.
