460,786. Pipe couplings. NUSWIFT ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and HARRIS. G. W. Sept. 14, 1935, No. 25530. [Class 99 (i)] In hose-couplings of the type wherein a number of radially-slidable bolts b carried by a socket member a engage automatically behind a flange on a spigot when inserted in the socket, disconnection being effected by the rotation of caps which surround the bolts and act by means of cams to withdraw them clear of the spigot flange, the projecting ends of two diametrically opposed pins f carried by a collar c fast on the shank b<1> of each bolt b, or the ends of a single pin, cooperate with a cam ring g formed on a rotating cap h. Alternatively, the pins may be on the cap and the cam-surface on the collar ; also, antifriction rollers may be provided on the pins. Specification 359,796 is referred to.
