Abstract
459,908. Photographic developing- compositions. FOURNES, E., 28, Lazarettgasse. and EERDE, H. DIAMANT-, 98, Liechtensteinstrasse, both in Vienna. Dec. 12, 1935, No. 34482. Convention date, Dec. 31, 1934. [Class 98 (ii)] To prevent deterioration of developing and developing-fixing solutions containing caustic alkali by exposure to the air, sugars, such as grape sugar, cane sugar, and fruit sugar, or the reactions products of sugars with caustic alkali, which exert a reducing action, are added to the solutions. In an example, a developing-fixing solution contains metol, hydroquinone, caustic soda, ammonia, sodium sulphite, sodium thiosulphate, and grape sugar. Specification 216,976, [Class 98 (ii)], is referred to.
