Abstract
506,450. Photographic developing processes. CINECOLOR, Inc. March 18, 1938, No. 8360. Convention date, April 23, 1937. [Glass 98 (ii)] A photographic film bleach for minimizing over-all stain and lack of transparency in the finished picture contains À02 per cent to À6 per cent iodine and 1 to 4 per cent but excluding 2À6 to 3À3 per cent of an alkali metal iodide, e.g. potassium iodide. The film is subjected to a pre-dip in a 7, to 14 per cent solution of said alkali metal iodide to shorten the time of the bleaching process. A theory of the action taking place is given. Specification 466,290 is referred to.
