458,900. Thermal switches. GROVER, R. V., Hollybank, The Common, Uxbridge, and DRAYTON REGULATOR & INSTRUMENT CO., Ltd., West Drayton, both in Middlesex. May 11, 1936, No. 13282. [Class 38 (v)] A thermal element such as a tube and rod 1 acts on a magnifying lever 3 pivoted at 4, the lever in turn acting on a bow spring 6, the upper end of which engages a notch in a contact arm 7 pivoted at its lower end. The bow spring maintains both the lever 3 and the arm 7 against their fulcrums and gives a snapaction as it moves across. It also serves to return the magnifying lever 3. The arm 7 pivots on two grooved pins 8.
