[Class 143] In a platform weighing-machine one of the platform levers e is fulcrumed on the opposite ends of a lever l rotatable about a fixed pivot k passing through a hole in the lever thus forming a rigid bearing about which the lever may adjust itself or may be adjusted to bring the fulcrums f into the same plane as the corresponding fulcrums of the other platform lever (not shown). The movement of the lever l may be checked by the frictional resistance of a spring washer or by rubbing against plug stubs. The lever may be secured in adjusted position by a clamping nut p. The platform levers are each connected to a draw rod h leading to the weighing arm.
