Abstract

458,739. Caustic soda and like steam boilers; RAMEN, T., 16, Storgatan, Orebro, Sweden. July 28, 1936, No. 20877. Convention date, Aug. 6, 1935. [Class 123 (ii)] The weight of diluted solution drawn in unit time from an absorber 5 by a pump 10 and delivered to a concentrator 1, from which high pressure steam is taken and led through an engine 3 into the absorber, is at least six times as great as the weight of steam generated in the concentrator in the same time. The proportion between the weight of steam generated in the concentrator and that generated by the heat of the absorber is controlled by regulation the circulation of the solution between the concentrator and absorber and by the simultaneous regulation of the heating of the concentrator. A solution of zinc chloride may be used in place of the usual solution of potassium or sodium hydrate.
