Abstract
447,883. Caustic soda and like steam boilers. AKTIEBOLAGET RAMENS PATENTER, and RAMEN, T., Orebro, Sweden. Nov. 25, 1935, No. 32622. Convention date, Nov. 30, 1934. [Class 123 (ii)] In a steam generating method utilizing the heat evolved by absorption of steam in a solution, the concentration of the diluted solution is wholly or partly effected by indirect heating by means of a non-decomposing liquid with a boiling point higher at atmospheric pressure than that of the solution used and at least 175‹ C. With the use of diphenyl oxide as heating liquid only the pipe coil in the concentrator need be of a high grade resistant steel alloy and a pressure of 10 atmospheres above atmospheric pressure in the oxide-heating boiler is referred to as an upper limit.
