[Class 69 (ii)] A hydraulic press has a control device for permitting the application of either accumulator or intensifier pressure upon the press ram or drawback piston. Pressure from an accumulator m is directed to the press ram d, Fig. 1, when the lever q of a valve p is in the position I, and to the drawback pistons i when the lever is in the position II. When the lever is in either end position, the lever 3 of a valve x may be turned so that its end 4 moves along a slot 5 or 6 to allow pressure from an intensifier o to act, this pressure closing a check valve 2 in the accumulator connection. The lever q is fulcrumed on the end 4 of the lever 3, and the latter cannot be moved when the lever q is in its mid-position. In a modification, when the lever q is in midposition, the end 4 engages a slot 8, Fig. 4, concentric with the fulcrum of the lever q.
