457,352. Sifting-apparatus. WELLS, J. F., Bath Street Iron Works, Sheffield. Aug. 14, 1935, No. 22921. [Class 117] Apparatus for screening fine material comprises a chamber a the bottom of which is formed of an inclined stationary screen band the top of which forms a bellows g for passing air to-and-fro through the screen for the purpose of agitating the material and causing it to pass towards the tailings discharge opening k, which is provided with an air-lock discharge valve m. As shown the screen has two sections c, d and the fine material passing through is collected in hoppers e, f. The material is fed into the chamber by a screw conveyer h from an external hopper j. A crank shank p actuates the bellows and an agitating device t in the hopper.
