Abstract

456,267. Valve components. SOC. ANON. A. SAURER, Arbon, Switzerland. April 7, 1936, No. 10233. Convention date, March 2. [Class 135] [See also Group XXVII] The abutment for the closing spring of a valve opened by fluid pressure is formed in two parts, one of which, 19, is threaded on to the valve stem 16, is resiliently compressible and tapered conically to lie within a conical recess in the other part 20 against which the spring 18 bears. The part 19 is provided with two longitudinal slots 21, 22, the latter of which extends over a portion of the height and leaves a bridge piece 23 at the end of the part 19 remote from the cylinder. The abutment and the spring 18 are housed within a filter body 13.
