Abstract

454,894. Roll-holders. ELLIOTT, F. F., 29, Greenway, Southgate, London. Oct. 29, 1935, No. 29876. [Class 18] A holder for a roll of toilet paper comprises a casing 7 and a roll spindle 11 which is placed in position by a movement in the direction of its axis and retained thereafter by a locking device at one end. The spindle is slid into position through the wall 2 of the casing until the end 10 of the spindle seats in a recess in the wall 3 and it cannot be withdrawn after the nose of a screw bolt 16 has been engaged in a groove 17. The bolt is situated in a tapped recess in the wall 2 and it is operated by a separate key which fits over the triangular sectioned lower end thereof. A drag roller 18 runs in recessed slots 20 in the side walls of the casing, one slot being closed at its upper end and the other being open to allow the roller to be inserted, after which the slot is closed by riveting a screwed pin in the hole 21<a>. The casing comprises a metal hood and it is suspended by keyhole slots 22 and screws passed through holes 23, access to these screws being obtained through holes 24 after the roll and its spindle have been removed.
