467,127. Machinery guards. E.M.B. CO., Ltd., CATLIN, L. A., ABBERLEY, J., and WOODMAN, P. T. April 30, 1936, No. 12284. [Class 80 (iv)] A vertical gate G is hinged by means of a spindle e, at the bottom end of which is a cam g. A spring-pressed pin h bears on the cam and at the other end is opposite, when the machine is at rest, a slot k in a plunger j connected by a rod i with the setting-on mechanism. If the gate is moved from the closed position shown the cam pushes the pin into the slot k to prevent the machine being started. A second gate G<1> with duplicate cam-and-pin mechanism may be used.
