Abstract

497,293. Toilet paper holders. BUCHANAN, J. R. June 24, 1937, No. 17557. [Class 18] A container 1 for a pack of toilet paper is provided with catch means which, when the container is inserted in a holder 2, co-operates with a resilient or rigid projection or a recess in the holder and so prevents the withdrawal of the container. The latter can be provided with a slit or slot to engage with an integral shoulder 6 situated opposite the apertures 9, 10 for the withdrawal of the paper, or the projection may comprise a bent strip fixed in position by the screws securing the holder against a supporting surface, or circular projections 6 can engage in corresponding apertures in the container. In a further modification, the container is provided with a downwardly projecting flap which co-operates with a recess or projection in the holder. The projection in the holder may be on the sides or the front wall. The holder may be provided with a projection which serves merely to press against the rear of the container opposite or adjacent to the withdrawal slot therein.
