Abstract

407,953. Cases for sheets of paper &c. SMITH, G., 203, Ashley Road, Hale, Altrincham, Cheshire. July 16, 1932, No. 20153. [Class 18.] A case or cabinet for piles of paper or other thin sheets, in which the piles are supported and yieldingly pressed against an abutment which leaves a portion of the uppermost sheet exposed, has in front of the pile of sheets a flat shelf or table or an inclined or upwardly curved concave wall on to which the sheets are drawn on withdrawal. The case comprises a block 5 mounted on a bore 6, and having two circular cavities 7 containing the piles 8 of labels. A stop plate 9 with gaps 10 is held in position on the top of the block by members 14, and holds the piles of labels in the cavities. The piles of labels are supported on springs 11. An upwardly curved concave wall 12 or a flap shelf or table is provided in front of the block 5 to receive a sheet of paper withdrawn from the pile. The mouths of the cavities may be bevelled as at 15. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 4796 /85, [Class 3].
