Abstract
419,644. Holders for toilet - rolls. BERKEL, C. F. M. VAN, 4, Andermententaan, Wassenaar, Holland. April 4, 1934, No. 10208. [Class 18.] A toilet-roll holder comprises flanged back and front plates 9, 10 which fit together when no roll is present. The roll 1 is placed on one limb 12 of a U-shaped member 8, the other limb 11 of which is pivoted by means of screws 13 to the plates 9, 10. The roll is pressed down by the plate 10, the flanges 15 of which serve as stops to retain the roll in position. A pin-and-slot connection 17 between the plate 10 and the member 8 causes the member 8 to be raised when the plate 10 is lifted above its normal position, thus enabling a roll to be inserted or withdrawn.
