Abstract

394,094. Folding-brackets. ROSS, F. C., 112, Westbourne Avenue, Hull. March 24, 1932, No. 8739. [Class 52 (v).] A bracket support for a manually operated device such as a pencilsharpener comprises a stationary plate 13 with arcuate flanges 14 at each side secured to the front wall of a drawer, and a carrier member 19, having flanges 20 extending parallel to the flanges 14. The carrier member is pivoted at 24 to the stationary plate member and open slots 17 formed in the latter receive abutments 18 on the carrier plate member which are controlled by a trigger 25. This trigger is formed with a lip 26 which can be forced by a finger against the action of the spring 22 and passes through a perforation in the plate member. The carrier member when released by pressure on the trigger can be swung to a position in a plane parallel with the securing plate of the stationary member. In a modification (not shown), the trigger comprises a U-shaped member with portions extending through slots in the member 19 and carrying a spindle which operates in like manner to the projections 18 of the other construction.
