450,763. Hydraulic transmission of power. LAMMEREN, W. P. VAN, 45, Veurscheweg, Voorschoten, Holland. Jan. 21, 1935, No. 2021. [Class 69 (ii)] In hydraulic transmission means comprising vaned driving and driven wheels and stationary guide vanes, the latter are axially adjusted by a plunger and cylinder device actuated by the differential pressures of the circulating liquid. The transmission means may comprise a driving wheel 9, Fig. 1, a driven wheel 11, and a member with vanes 15, 17, 18, for forward drive, no drive, and reverse drive respectively. In another form, the driven wheel has radial apertures 23, Fig. 5, and vanes 21, 22, while the intermediate member has vanes 25, 26 and radial apertures 27. In other forms, guide vanes 47, 48, Fig. 11, are carried by a member 46, or by a member 57, Fig. 9. In all forms, the adjusting cylinder has ports a ... d connected to a control valve which is also connected through pipes H, L with regions of high and low pressure in the liquid circuit. Water, paraffin oil or glycerine can be employed in the circuit.
