450,746. Boots &c. AMANN, O., 1A, Nonnenstieg, Hamburg, Germany. Nov. 9, 1935, No. 31071. Convention date, Nov. 9, 1934. [Class 17 (ii)] Footwear suitable for house or sports wear is made by attaching to a sock or stocking a constituting the upper, by means of a strip c extending around the foot, a sole b consisting of separate layers of fabric, preferably of washable material, connected together by sewing. An inset or filler f of felt may be inserted between the hose or stocking and the sole and, if necessary, the heel and toe of the upper may be strengthened by caps g of velvet. The stitching which connects the layers of sole material is effected partially only of the length of the sole, as shown, to increase the flexibility.
