Abstract
450,627. Steam traps. SERVAIS, C., and SERVAIS, [nÚe DELREZ], C., 40, Rue des DÚportÚs, Verviers, Belgium. Nov. 15, 1935, No. 31724. [Class 64 (ii)] In a steam trap comprising a float 19 operating a slow discharge valve 15 of limited movement which entrains a valve 16 for quicker discharge at least three apertured horizontal plates 20 are mounted above and below the float to prevent turbulence of the fluid in the trap. Two such plates are always disposed below the float. The main valve seating 9 is carried by double walls forming a lowermost chamber 6 which communicates with the valve discharge through a passage 12 and with two outlets for the trap 7, 23 each with valve controls. The outlet 23 is manually controlled and the outlet 7 automatically controlled by means of discs 25, 26 at right angles to each other, the former being pivoted.
