Abstract
449,728. Aeroplane undercarriages. CESKOMORAVSKA-KOLBEN-DANEK CO., Ltd., 36, Palackeho, and SLECHTA, J., 399, Obvodova, both in Prague. Sept. 9, 1935, No. 25087. Convention date, Sept. 29, 1934. [Class 4] An aeroplane undercarriage comprises a side member 1 pivoted at 8 and connected to an axle 2 upon which wheel 3 is rotatably mounted and which houses a springing device comprising a movable sleeve 4 connected at 9 to a radius rod 10, and a spring 5, one end of which bears on the end of sleeve 4 and the other on a plate 6 secured to axle 2 by a bolt 7. When the undercarriage is loaded member 1 rocks about pivot 8 thus causing axle 2 to move away from pivot 11 of radius rod 10 thereby causing sleeve 4 to slide relative to the axle and compress spring 5.
