Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, March 23, 1935]. [Class 38 (i)] Means for making variable connections between supply wires and a lamp-holder or other tapping, comprises a base 1 having two compartments 1a, 1b each containing two terminals 5a, 5b. Plates 11a, 11b connect together the two terminals in each compartment and connect them to a plunger contact member 17 fitted in a recess in the partition 3, and protruding into a lamp socket &c. 28. Each terminal consists of a square body having a slot therein to receive the wire which is clamped by a block 13 sliding in the slot and secured to an actuating screw plug 12. The compartments 1a, 1b are open at the ends to receive the wires but have slots in their side walls into which closure plates can be fitted.
