[Classes 65 (i) and 65 (ii)] Means for controlling the closing of double doors to ensure that the correct door closes first comprises a pair of arms 3, 4, each movable about a vertical axis, which move into such positions when the doors are opened that the arm 3 stops the closing of the outer door until the arm 4 is moved by the inner door when the latter is in a position to ensure correct mating with the outer door. In the form shown in inverted plan, the arms 3, 4 are mounted on a common pivot pin 5 carried on the lintel, and a spiral spring 16 carries the arm 3 out to the position shown when the doors are opened, the arm 4 being also moved to the position shown by a shoulder on the arm 3 engaging a stop flange 10 on the arm 4 ; the outward movement of the arms is limited by a stop lug on the flange 10 engaging a fixed stop 13. Both arms have rollers for engaging the doors, and arm 3 is made telescopic and provided with a shock-absorbing spring. When the doors close the movement of the right-hand one is stopped by arm 3 until the other door moves arm 4 inwards to carry arm 3 across dead-centre so that it can then be moved anticlockwise by its door, lost-motion being allowed in the connection between the arms so that they can lie approximately one above the other in the closed position. The pin 5 is fixed in the base plate 6, and the arm 4 bears on a boss on the plate 6 and has a circular flange, of which the flange 10 is an extension, within which bears a circular flange on the arm 3, the parts being held together by a nut and washer on the end of the pin.
