Abstract

1,221,422. Door closer device. TONKS (BIRMINGHAM) Ltd. 13 Feb., 1968 [9 March, 1967], .No. 11156/67. Heading E2M. A door. closer device has 2 cams 15, 16 carried on a spindle 10 which is connected to a door to be closed. The cam 16 acts, at the limit positions of the permitted rotation of the spindle 10 (which correspond to the fully open positions of the door) against a resilient stop means 23 which is secured in the casing 11 of the device by means of screws 24, and extends around the internal surface of the casing 11 at 'the end at which the spindle 10 is mounted. A hydraulic damper (not shown), for retarding the movement of the spindle during closing movement of the door, is connected to a cam follower 20, and acts upon the spindle through the cam 16, and roller 21. Compression springs (not shown) mounted in the casing 11 act on the cam 15 through the cam follower 17 and rollers 18 and 19, causing the spindle to rotate towards a position in which the door is closed.
