448,685. Discharge lamps. NAAMLOOZE VENNOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN, Emmasingel, Eindhoven, Holland. March 6,1936, No. 6855. Convention date, March 20, 1935. Drawings to Specification. [Class 39 (i)] In high-pressure, mercury-vapour, discharge lamps such as described in Specifications 431,450, 431,451, and 431,923 wherein the vapour pressure exceeds 10 atmospheres when the lamp is in use, the electrodes have a coating of electron emissive material consisting wholly or mainly of strontium oxide. The electrodes consist of a tungsten core wire on which a thinner tungsten wire is helically wound, the emissive coating being placed thereon. In addition to mercury, the tube contains neon at a pressure of 6 cms. at ordinary temperatures. The envelope is of material and the leading-in arrangements are as described in Specification 431,923.
