Abstract

448,616. Electrolytic condensers. PLESSEY CO., Ltd., Vicarage Lane, Ilford, Essex. July 4, 1935, No. 7006/36. Convention date, July 7, 1934. Divided out of 449, 367. [Class 37] An electrode is made of an alloy of a filmforming metal such as aluminium and at least one other metal, and is subjected to an etching process whereby the metal alloyed with the film-forming metal is dissolved. This other metal may be one or more of magnesium, calcium, lithium, or beryllium and the etching may be effected bv nitric, sulphuric or chromic acid, or an acid salt such as aluminium ammonium sulphate. Specifications 388,395 and 424,831 are referred to.
