[Class 38 (i)] A fuse-carrier b has two contact members b<1>, b<2> hinged thereto and pressed towards one another by springs b<3> to grip a fuse cartridge a, the end contacts of which enter recesses in the faces of the members b', b<2>. On the outer faces of the members are bosses b<5> that fit into recesses c<5> in the surface of contact springs c<1>, c<2> mounted on the base c. The springs c<1>, c<2> are bent to an inverted V-shape with a foot c<7> that is gripped, together with a cable, by plates g', g2 and a clamping screw h. A helical spring c<6> may be provided to increase the resilience of each of the contacts c<1>, c<2>, inward movement of the contacts being limited by stops on the base, so that the carrier can be inserted between them.
