447,695. Mixing - apparatus. WYNDHAM, S. L., and WYNDHAMS LIQUID COAL CO., Ltd., The Exchange, Cardiff. Jan. 1, 1935, No. 70. [Class 86] An apparatus for mixing coal and oil or other like ingredients to form mobile fuel consists of an inclined rotating drum having therein a mixing worm and at one end a feeding worm for supplying coal into the drum at a predetermined rate. The coal and oil are fed into the drum 10 by means of a feeding worm 17, and a pump 20 respectively, both of which are driven by the motor which drives the drum. A return pipe 23, pressure gauge 28, and valve 24 are provided so that the flow of oil front the tank 22 can be regulated. As the drum rotates, the worm 13 carries the mixture along and delivers it through the shoot 25 which is provided with an adjustable fitting 27 allowing the mouth of the shoot to be adjusted so that the material flowing can form a seal.
