Class 86 In apparatus for mixing liquid, especially a foam forming agent, with water flowing under pressure in a duct, and of the type wherein water branched off from the duct displaces air from a container, which air in turn displaces the liquid from another container and forces it into the duct, there is provided a reservoir container for the liquid connected to the liquid container 60 that liquid from the reservoir container may be delivered to the liquid container whilst liquid is being removed from the liquid container. In Fig. 1 water branched off from a duct 1 displaces air from a container 6 which in turn forces liquid from the container 4 into the duct and liquid from a reservoir 9 may at the same time be introduced into the container 4 by means of a pump 10. In another embodiment, Fig. 2, not shown, the liquid is delivered to the chamber 4 under pressure from a storage container, its delivery being regulated by a valve controlled by a float responsive to the liquid level in container 4. In yet another embodiment, Fig. 3, not shown, the pump which delivers liquid from the storage container to the container 4 is driven by a hydraulic motor connected to chamber 6.
