[Class 100 (ii)] A clamp for locking a printing-plate 15 on a flat bed 3 comprises a, split tubular cylindrical shank 1 adapted to be inserted in a mating socket 2 in the bed and to be expanded into locking engagement therewith by a conical block 6 actuated by a, screw 9. The plate edge is engaged by the edge of a head 12 eccentric to and integral with the shank, or by the straight edge of a removable segmental head pivoted to the top of the shank. The shank is turned by a suitable tool applied to notches or holes in its upper end, to cause the head to engage the plate before the shank is locked in the socket.
