446,466. Spinning &c. travellers. KAMMGARNSPINNEREI BURGLEN, and SCHELLENBERG, E., B³rglen, Switzerland. Aug. 28, 1935, No. 24033. [Class 120 (ii)] A traveller for spinning and doubling machines comprising a stirrupshaped portion 1, 3 for guiding the yarn and two arms for engaging a circular guideway is provided with V-shaped inwardly bowed portions for engaging the inner surface of a thin plate 2 or ring 4 so that it is maintained in position in spite of breakage or excessive tension of the yarn. The traveller pivots about the bowed portions so that the stirrup portion is always close to the windings. The extensions at the ends of the stirrup shown in Fig. 2 serve to prevent the disengagement of the thread when it is slack.
