Abstract

487,626. Drawing - apparatus for spinning-frames. AKT.-GES. J. J. RIETER & CIE. May 1, 1937, No. 12498. Convention date, May 2, 1936. [Class 120 (ii)] The carrier 3 for the roller 1, Fig. 1, which tensions the endless band in the drawing head of a spinning machine is formed or provided with a stop or retaining means to prevent the roller from slipping out of the slots 5 in the carrier 3. In one form a spring 2, Fig. 1, held at one end on the rod 4, is arranged to support the roller spindle 6. Alternatively a spring 7, Fig. 2, which coacts with a clip to prevent the carrier 3 shifting axially on the rod 4, has a projection 8 which serves as a buffer if the roller 1 slides down the slot 5. In further modifications elbow-shaped slots may be provided in the carrier 3 as at 16, Fig. 3, and 19, Fig. 6. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also other forms of clipping springs shaped to limit rotation of the carrier on the rod 4, and also a modification wherein the carrier 3 has limbs which may be flexed outwards for inserting the roller 1 and which spring inwards to support the roller. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
